Marlon Jones, an infamous member of a Jamaican narcotics crew wanted for four homicides, was captured in Los Angeles one day after he was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

According to a statement released on Twitter by the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, a suspect believed to be Marlon Jones was captured following a pursuit last Friday.

The statement provided no further details on his arrest and FBI agents on the case were not available for comment.

FBI officials previously offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Marlon Jones, a member of the Jamaican East Coast gang who was considered armed and dangerous.

Prior to his arrest, Case Agent Scott Garriola said on the FBI’s podcast that Jones was sought in connection with an October 15th deadly shootout, which erupted at a rival gang’s celebration at an illegal Los Angeles restaurant.

“Jones initiated the violence by shooting someone in the head,” Garriola said. “There was gunfire from multiple people, and when the dust settled, it was four dead and ten wounded.”

The FBI agent added that Jones uses many aliases, such as Floyd Evans, Anthony Howard, and Rasheen Brantley.

“We’re not exactly sure if Marlon Jones is his real name. The suspect has multiple arrests under different names. He also has several IDs in different names, dates of birth, and places of birth,” Garriola added.

FBI officials previously stated that Jones has violent tendencies and maintains ties in Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, New York, New Jersey, California, Connecticut, and Tennessee.

Jones became the 510th person ever placed on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List.
