Chicago Police suspect a possible drug robbery as the motive in the fatal shooting of four people at a home on the city’s South Side on Saturday.

As JammedUp News reported, police officers responded to calls of a shooting at a home on the 100 block of West 105th St in the Fernwood section of the city around 12:40 p.m. Saturday and discovered the four dead victims, two males, and two females.

Two of the victims were identified by relatives as Elijah Jackson and his sister Shacora Jackson, WGNTV reported.

A female who is a fifth shooting victim

remains in critical condition, while a 2-year-old toddler was taken to a hospital for observation but was unharmed.

On Sunday, Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said individuals at the home may have been selling narcotics at the house and the same “individuals returned to “rob residents” in the home.
A fifth person was critically injured. A 2-year-old child wasn’t hurt.

Guglielmi said autopsies conducted Sunday, determined that three of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head and a fourth was shot multiple times.

The slayings mark the end of a deadly year that saw more than 700 homicides committed in Chicago.
