Valerie Fairman dies of an apparent overdose.

Police in the Philadelphia-area announced the death of 23-year-old Valerie Fairman, the young mother who starred in the MTV show “16 and Pregnant” of an apparent drug overdose.

According to TMZ, Fairman’s death was pronounced by the Chester County Coroner’s Office around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Results of the autopsy performed on 23-year-old have yet to be released.

“The coroner did perform toxicology tests to determine exact cause of death, but we’re told it appears to be an OD,” the gossip website reported.

She was discovered at a friend’s home in Coatesville. Police said they plan to release further details in her death on Thursday.

Fairman, who gave birth to a daughter at the age of 15, appeared on the second season of “16 and Pregnant” on 2009-2010.

In recent years, Fairman’s life showed a troubling pattern leading up to her death, which including having multiple run-ins with law enforcement. She was arrested in February 2015 during a prostitution sting in New Castle Delaware.

In a statement, MTV representatives extended condolences to the family of Valerie Fairman and said they were saddened by the news of her death.
