Arkansas Police arrested a suspect in the fatal road rage shooting death of a 3-year-old boy, who was out Christmas shopping with his grandmother in Little Rock last week.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Harris confirmed the arrest of 33-year-old Greg Holmes, who surrendered to U.S. Marshals in Little Rock, Arkansas on Thursday for the death of 3-year-old Acen King back on Dec. 17th, KATV reported.

King was on a shopping trip with his grandmother when a gunman opened fire on the grandmother’s vehicle because she “wasn’t moving fast enough at a stop sign.”

The grandmother Kim King-Macon, who was unharmed, drove away and contacted authorities from the shopping center.

Paramedics rushed King to a local area hospital where he later died.

Holmes has a lengthy rap sheet which includes arrests for domestic battery.

According to KATV, Holmes’ parents reportedly played a role with U.S. Marshals to ensure his peaceful surrender. Later in the evening, he was charged with one count of capital murder and two counts of making a terroristic act.
