A Florida man dressed in a Santa Claus costume was taken into custody on Monday for possessing a mixture of drugs, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office was carrying out a probe after numerous drug complaints were received when 41-year-old Isaac Geiger was seen standing at the driver’s door of a U-Haul truck in a business parking lot.

“I first saw a police car and then I see all these other undercovers, I guess they were undercover, and I was, like, ‘What are the police doing over there at the gas station?'” an unidentified witness said in an interview ABC News10.

Authorities stated that Geiger was distinctive because he was wearing a red and white Santa Claus outfit, a Santa hat, and even a white beard.

“They sell drugs in every area. Some areas are worse than others, but it’s not unexpected. Just the Santa Claus uniform is crazy,” the witness added.

Geiger was spotted multiple times going into the U-Haul truck, grabbing items and walking away, police report.

After seeing law enforcement, Geiger fled from the parking lot where a large amount of weed was in plain view on the driver’s seat of the truck.

Police pursued Geiger, who tripped over his pants and fell.

Investigators tried to arrest him, but he flipped onto his stomach and put his hands underneath his body.

Geiger did not comply and resisted for some time. Police said they recovered a plastic baggie in the Santa suit and cash in his pocket.

Authorities also noted that after they had picked Geiger up, he attempted to run again and investigators had to tackle him.

An inspection of the U-Haul revealed pot, a scale with marijuana residue, and a black pouch with MDMA on the driver’s seat.

Police also discovered a 5-gallon orange bucket with a white lid on the floorboard. Inside was additional marijuana, a yellow substance containing THC, Molly, Ecstasy, and cash.

These were all things that Santa shouldn’t have in his sleigh, residents mocked.

“Hopefully, they can do better with cleaning up the street, but that one there sounds like something fictional,” the witness stated while laughing.

He was apprehended and booked into the Duval County Jail.

Geiger first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday. Court records indicate that Geiger had been booked into the Duval County jail on two prior occasions. In 2012, he pleaded no contest to two drug charges and spent five days in prison.
