Mexican Authorities arrested a top operator of the criminal organization known as “La Linea” or “The Line” during an operation last week in the border state of Chihuahua.

According to the State Attorney General’s Office, Roberto Alejandro “BF,” alias “El Tarta” is one of the top 50 most violent sought after objectives operating in Mexico.

State police secured the arrest of the capo along with five other members of his cell during a police operation in the municipality of Aldama, Milenio reported.

Law enforcement officials said “El Tarta” is the chief suspect in several narco-related executions in Chihuahua.

During the operation, authorities seized an armored van, several firearms, and various drugs including crystal methamphetamine and cocaine.

Officials said a ballistic analysis of the weapons was being conducted to determine if any of the firearms were used in homicides or the commission of other criminal acts.

“La Linea” was the paramilitary wing of Juarez cartel led Amado Carillo Fuentes, better known as “El Señor de Los Cielos” or “Lord of the Skies,” which fought a brutal war for control of Ciudad Juarez against the Sinaloa cartel from 2008 to 2012.

According to the U.S. Drug Administration, La Linea has operated as it’s own independent criminal organization since the death of Amado Carillo and later with the fall of the Juarez cartel.
