Former MMA fighter “War Machine” is set to stand trial for the brutal assault of his ex-girlfriend porn star Christy Mack after refusing a plea deal offered by prosecutors.

Christy Mack and ‘War Machine,’ who’s real name is Jonathan Koppenhaver faced off inside of a Clark County, Nevada courtroom this week.

On Thursday, Mack appeared on the stand to answer questions about her sexual relationship with Koppenhaver.

“I told him I had this fantasy and I described where I would like it to happen,” the woman explained to Koppenhava’s defense attorney Brandon Sua.

While on the stand, Sua challenged Mack’s allegations and accused her of about fabricating the rape claims.

“You would want to simulate a rape scenario with Koppenhaver?” the lawyer asked.

“I asked about that once to see if it were something he’d be interested in doing with me,” Mack responded.

The attorney also asked the former girlfriend about a particular phrase she and Koppenhaver would say each other, News3 Las Vegas reported.

“Do you recall stating to Koppenhaver that ‘Real Men Rape’?” the attorney then asked.

“That was a joke between us,” the victim replied.

Sua then mentioned the topic of choking during sex, to which Mack replied: “I didn’t explicitly state choking.”

“Is that what your intentions were?” he asked.

“To have him choke me? It depends on how I would be feeling at the time,” Mack answered.

The defense team contended that sexual testimony was necessary and that the jury should hear every aspect of the former couple’s sexual activities.

After Mack had testified for approximately an hour, Judge Elissa Cadish ruled she would approve the testimony concerning rape but not the part about choking.

“When the jury hears the testimony when they fully understand the nature of the relationship, the request for sexual rape fantasies. They will know the real character of the relationship, and with all the evidence I believe they will acquit Koppenhaver,” Sua added.

The state offered Koppenhaver a plea deal of 16 to life or 18 to 40 years in prison.

Koppenhaver subsequently declined to accept the plea and the case is now scheduled to go to trial on February 27th.
