Authorities in Florida, who are on the hunt for a suspect believed to be responsible for a brutal murder, have released chilling video footage showing a man getting shot 13 times in front of his girlfriend on Tuesday outside of a seafood market.

Surveillance video shows Gary Wallock, 34, was approaching his car in the parking lot outside the Lobster and Seafood Warehouse in Lauderhill, Florida at approximately 5:30 pm when a gunman ran up to him from behind and began shooting, Local10 News reported.

According to the Lauderhill Police Department, Wallock was blasted 13 times, even after he fell to the ground. He was declared dead at the scene.

The victim’s girlfriend was there during the incident and observed his killing, but managed to escape unharmed.

Lieutenant Gregory Solowsky said that Wallock’s slaying was not random.

“You can say he was executed,” he told the Sun-Sentinel.

The surveillance footage released by authorities on Thursday shows the man and his girlfriend exiting from the seafood shop with a shopping bag and walking towards their Volkswagen Jetta.

Meanwhile, a gunman in a red T-shirt and baseball cap is seen hiding behind a silver SUV, playing on his phone. When he noticed Wallock and his girlfriend standing next to their vehicle, the man in the red shirt dashed toward the couple, pulled out a gun, and began shooting.

Police reported that the suspect fired at least 25 shots at Wallack at point-blank range, 13 of which hit him mostly to the face.

In the footage, Wallock collapses to the ground under the surge of bullets, but the perpetrator continued to pump bullets into his body.

The victim’s panic-stricken partner ran away in horror. As the woman fled, the killer turned the firearm in her direction and shot several rounds, but missed.

At one point, the woman fell over a concrete parking barrier, which police believe might have saved her.

Wallock’s girlfriend later came back to the parking lot, but by that time her boyfriend was gone.

Investigators believe the shooting suspect was taken to the parking lot by another individual driving a 2010 Nissan Altima with plates EZXF13, which he then used as a getaway after carrying out the execution.

According to WSVN, Wallock was a Jamaican national who had been in the U.S. only briefly. A young daughter survives him.

Officials are still trying to determine a motive behind what Lieutenant Solowsky described to Sun Sentinel as a “cold, calculated homicide.”

Florida detectives have contacted their counterparts in Jamaica in hopes of obtaining additional information on Wallock, whom the lieutenant referred to as a “good guy.”

Anyone with information about the shooting, the location of the getaway vehicle, or its occupants are being asked to contact Detective Chad Williams at 954-717-4615 or the Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
