A convicted sex offender has been charged with concealing a woman’s head and other body parts in his freezer after he reportedly dumped her other remains at a waste-sorting station in New York City.

The Daily Mail reported that 40-year-old Somorie Moses was arrested at approximately 12:15 am on Sunday at his home in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, where detectives with the New York City Police Department executed a search warrant and discovered a woman’s head, hands, and feet packed inside of the freezer.

The horrible discovery was made just days after workers at the Metropolitan Transfer Station in the Hunts Points section of The Bronx discovered a female torso and a leg without a foot stuffed in the trash.

As of now, Moses has been charged with concealing a human corpse and tampering with evidence, but authorities revealed that the suspect might face more severe charges once the victim’s autopsy is complete.

As of Monday morning, the dismembered victim has yet to be identified, and the Medical Examiner’s Office is still trying to ascertain a cause of death.

Detectives believe the victim may have been a prostitute who had known Moses, DNAInfo New York reported.

Workers at the privately owned Metropolitan Transfer Station found a woman’s torso and a leg just after 4:30 am last Tuesday and immediately contacted the NYPD.

Waste from all areas across the city arrives at the Bronx facility, where it is gathered and destroyed.

Crime scene investigators later discovered additional human remains, including a right and left arm, both without hands, in New Jersey.

Law enforcement officials said they used surveillance footage from the Hunts Point waste-processing plant and phone records to name and track down Somorie Moses at his apartment on Erasmus Street in Brooklyn.

Moses was arraigned in Bronx Supreme Court on Sunday and has been ordered to remain in custody without bail after a prosecutor contended that he was a flight risk and indicated that at the time of his arrest, Moses pushed an officer during a failed attempt to escape, the New York Daily News reported.

The suspect is a registered Level 2 convicted sex offender who was found guilty in 2006 on charges of promoting prostitution of a girl under the age of 16 and profiting from prostitution.

His criminal record also includes eight arrests on charges that included patronizing a prostitute and rape.

In 2003, Moses was arrested in connection with a non-fatal shooting. He was released from prison in 2016 after he served over three years on an unrelated weapons charge, NBC4 reported.
