Oklahoma authorities have charged pro MMA fighter Roshaun Jones with a double homicide in connection with a deadly armed robbery, officials said on Thursday.

During a press conference, Del City Police Spokesman Major Jody Suit said Jones shot and killed two people at a laundry mat on Monday.

Police charged Jones with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of 42-year-old Nekia Johnson, a manager of “The Laundry Station” in Del City, and 60-year-old Russ Roberts, a customer who happened to be in the store at the time of the robbery.

Suit said surveillance video showed Roberts had attempted to help Jackson during the robbery when Jones opened fire killing both victims, KFOR reported.

“An ensuing altercation occurred inside the drop office when the customer attempted to assist her and both of them were shot in the process,” Del City Police Department Captain Ted Kleber said during the press conference.

A patron later discovered the bodies of both victims and contacted the authorities.

The U.S. Marshals service and Oklahoma State Police tracked down and arrested Jones on Friday afternoon at an apartment in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Police officials said Roshaun Jones had nine prior offenses before his arrest for the fatal incident in Del City.

The 33-year-old mixed martial artist had a record of two wins, six losses and last fought at a Bellator event back in 2015. Police booked Jones into the Oklahoma County Jail, where he remains on no bond.
