Kim Kardashian might just get back her $4 million engagement ring that was stolen in a jewel heist in Paris. However, the rest of the stolen bling was melted down and sold, according to the operation’s mastermind.

Aomar Ait Khedache, the 60-year-old thief who reportedly organized the sophisticated armed robbery in Paris in October, admitted to investigators that the 20-carat emerald sparkler still exists, police testimony obtained by the French newspaper Le Monde revealed.

“There is a person who has it,” he told authorities. “Everyone was afraid to sell because it’s a stone that’s easily spotted.”

However, the remaining of the $10 million worth of jewelry are no longer recognizable and were sold in Belgium, which is the home to a global diamond business.

“We made the decision to melt them,” the suspect said, adding that they were turned into metal bars. “One of the people took care of it.”

Khedache, who goes by the nickname “The Old Man,” called the heist a “very simple affair” — adding that it was easy to track down Kardashian and they knew it would be profitable because she showed off her jewels on social media.

“She specified that she didn’t wear fakes and the schedules when she came to France,” he said to police. “It was enough to look on the internet and know absolutely everything.”

Kardashian was by herself at her Parisian apartment on October 2nd when two gunmen dressed as police officers bound and gagged her while taking all her jewelry.
