A “pointless” dispute between a group of young women led to the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man in Brooklyn.

Maurice Lindsey was hit with four shots — in the shoulder, neck, chest, and back — after an altercation erupted between his girlfriend and two enemies inside of the Risley Dent Towers in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, The New York Daily News reported.

“It was a pointless fight, and someone pointlessly lost their life,” said 28-year-old Tamecca Holloway, who observed the prelude to the Monday night shooting after opening the door of her sixth-floor apartment.

Authorities have yet to make any arrests.

The fatal fight started earlier Monday when Lindsey’s friend got into a brawl with a pair of sisters, according to police sources.

The girlfriend later told law enforcement officials that she won the fight and went back to her fourth-floor apartment with Lindsey.

At approximately 8:45 pm, there was a knock on the door, and the girlfriend’s mother opened it to find the sisters, along with two men.

The group left after the mother told them her daughter wasn’t there, sources indicated.

Lindsey and his girlfriend left their apartment about 15 minutes later but didn’t get far.

As the elevator doors opened, the sisters and the men they were accompanied with jumped out.

The women attacked Lindsey’s girlfriend as the men pulled out their phones to videotape the fight, witnesses stated.

“They were threatening her, like ‘I’m gonna kill you,’” Holloway added.

She continued: “The guys were recording on their phones while (the girls) were dragging her, pulling her by her hair. She was screaming, telling them to get off of her. The guys were laughing, and said, ‘Get her!’”

The fight was ultimately broken up. As Lindsey and his girlfriend walked away, he turned around and responded to a comment made by one of the men.

Then, one of them whipped out a gun and began shooting around 9 p.m. — hitting Lindsey who fell into a wall and collapsed.

His girlfriend later told authorities that the shooter, whom she named as a brother of the sisters, shot the victim two to three more times while he was dying on the ground.

“He was shot in front of my door,” a 33-year-old resident said. “He wasn’t dead. He was gasping.”

The witness also said the victim was lying on his back as his distraught girlfriend tried to help him.

“She was like, ‘Come on! Come on! Get up!’” the Brooklyn resident added. “She was yelling and screaming. There was a lot of blood.”

Paramedics raced Lindsey to Interfaith Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries.

At the scene, cops discovered four .40 caliber shell casings.
