Authorities in Florida say the prime suspect accused of murdering the niece of rapper T-Pain was found dead in a wooded area in Tallahassee.

In a statement, the Tallahassee Police Dept. said officers discovered the body of 25-year-old Tavon Jackson on Tuesday while conducting a search in an unrelated case.

Although the statement said an investigation by the Violent Crimes and Forensic Units remains in the early stages, police officials have indicated Jackson’s cause of death appeared to be a suicide, the New York Daily News reported.

Police discovered the body of Tavon Jackson on Tuesday in Tallahassee.

Jackson had been the subject of a manhunt since August in connection with the murder of T-Pain’s 23-year-old niece Javona Glover.

Glover, a mother of a 2-year-old girl, was brutally stabbed to death outside of her job at a West Tallahassee Walgreens.

Following Glover’s death, the rapper, whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm, launched a social media campaign urging his followers to assist authorities in locating the alleged murder suspect.

“The police are still looking for the coward ass n—a that just killed my niece at Walgreens in Tallahassee. If you got info pls help out,” T-Pain tweeted back in August.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Jackson was Glover’s boyfriend.

Immediately after the murder, police released three surveillance photos of Jackson inside the Walgreens moments before the slaying.
