Stolen Bruce Springsteen art recovered during drug raid in New Jersey

Authorities in New Jersey recovered a piece of stolen art depicting Bruce Springsteen during a drug raid last week.

Police found the Springsteen metal cutout on Feb.17th during a subsequent search of an Asbury Park apartment, NJ.com reported.

Officers arrested the tenant of the apartment identified as 45-year-old Quaddeer Omar Fitzpatrick, of Asbury Park, on charges including drug dealing, possession, receiving stolen property and weapons offense.

Authorities also seized narcotics, personal electronics, drug packaging equipment And two firearms during the raid.

The green and white Bruce Springsteen portrait, which was cut into metal with a blow torch, was stolen back in November.

It belongs to a local store owner who specializes in ‘repurposed home decor pieces.

Fitzpatrick was booked and later released with a summons to appear before a court at a later date.

Police said the owner of the Springsteen artwork didn’t give value on the portrait but maintained it held sentimental value.

Springsteen’s  legendary music career first started in the New Jersey shore city, where he frequently returns to perform.
