Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam was taken into custody on multiple drug charges in Miami early Sunday morning.

Miami-Dade County police officials said officers pulled Elam over for reckless driving just before 4 a.m. and found 126 ounces of marijuana and three grams of oxycodone in his possession.

According to ESPN, The 25-year-old  NFL star is now facing three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of over 20 grams, and possession with the intent to sell.

The incident is not the NFL player’s first run-in with drugs. He was also suspended in 2015 for one game after breaking the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Baltimore Ravens Matt Elam was busted with marijuana and oxycodone pills

The Ravens elected not to renew his contract for the 2017 season, making him a free agent as of next month, according to the NBC Miami reported.

“We are aware of the arrest of Matt Elam. Matt is not in our plans for the 2017 Ravens,” the Ravens said in a statement.

He was the team’s first-round pick back in 2013, and when he signed his four-year contract, his average annual salary was a reported $1,691,751.

Elam is being held in the custody ofTurner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. on a $15,500 bond.
