Since Donald Trump is aggressively seeking to deport “criminal illegal aliens, an attorney who has worked on behalf of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is attempting a unique legal tactic by calling on the President to deport the Mexican kingpin back home from the U.S.

Jose Luis Gonzalez Meza held up a sign outside of the Mexican Attorney General’s Office in Mexico City on Wednesday that stated: “Mr. Trump, Deport the illegal and criminal Chapo Guzman.”

Trump has vowed to deport immigrants who have committed illegal crimes.

Gonzalez Meza said Mexican prosecutors infringed on due process when they extradited the drug lord back in January to New York City, The Business Insider reported.

Guzman is currently housed in Manhattan Corrections Center where he awaits trial on a 17-count indictment on charges including operating an ongoing criminal racketeering enterprise, drug trafficking, money laundering, conspiracy to commit murder, and weapons offenses.

“That means he is in the U.S. illegally,” the attorney said. “We are going to ask that he be returned because he is illegal and criminal!”

Guzman has pleaded guilty to all the charges against him U.S. and is slated to make his next court appearance in May.

Even if he beats the case in Brooklyn, “El Chapo” still faces additional indictments in Manhattan, El Paso, San Diego, Miami, Chicago, and District of Columbia.
