A Houston Houston vet has been charged along with her boyfriend with trying to employ a hitman to murder their exes.

Valerie McDaniel and Leon Jacob are in custody at the Harris County Jail on a charge of solicitation of capital murder. Both suspects are being held without bond.

According to Click2 Houston, McDaniel, 48 and the 39-year-old Jacob live together and tried to hire someone to murder their former significant others.

Police officials said Jacob faced stalking and assault charges earlier this year based on accusations by his ex-girlfriend. McDaniel and her ex-husband finalized their divorce in August 2016 and have one daughter together.

Authorities revealed that Jacob and McDaniel were about to pay over $10,000. The hitman was an undercover Houston police officer, and the two were arrested on Friday.

McDaniel works at The Montrose Veterinary Clinic. On Saturday, the website listed her as a doctor and did not mention of her arrest.

They are expected to appear in court on Monday.
