On Monday, former porn star Christy Mack’s mother stared down her daughter’s ex-MMA boyfriend known as War Machine and tearfully expressed that she wished she could’ve shot him.

War Machine, who lawfully changed his name from Jon Koppenhaver, is on trial for storming into Mack’s residence and brutally assaulting her and another male in August 2014.

Mack’s mother, Erin Mackinday, was asked on Monday at the trial if she regretted that she didn’t report any signs of abuse before the incident.

“No. I wish I would’ve shot you,” she said while staring at War Machine, The New York Post reported.

She stated that after the attack, she received texts from Koppenhaver telling her to go to her daughter’s house. “Go to her house and check on her,” he stated.

Mackinday said she was sleeping while the messages arrived, but Koppenhaver texted her again a few hours later. “There was a huge fight. The guy she was in bed with came at me,” he said.

Mackinday then called War Machine, and he reportedly told her, “We got into a fight. I had to beat her up.”

The concerned mother said she then raced to daughter’s home where authorities told her that Mack had been taken to a hospital

“She was laying in bed, and it didn’t look like her,” the mother said, sobbing as she recalled her 25-year-old daughter’s physical appearance.

Mack, whose real name is Christine Mackinday, stated that she sustained numerous severe bodily injuries, including a broken nose, broken teeth and a fractured rib.

It was revealed on Monday that the 35-year-old suspect tried to win back his ex-girlfriend by having a friend tell her that he was planning to propose to her on the night of the assault.

“Tweet her: ‘He was going there early with a ring to surprise you b*tch,’” Koppenhaver reportedly texted his friend Phil Baroni after the brutal beating.

Las Vegas Investigator Jessica Flynk testified that the texts between the couple leading up to the attack switched back and forth from sexual to aggressive.

The former porn star acknowledged that she sent Koppenhaver a topless selfie before the early morning assault.

Koppenhaver was hit with charges on 34 counts, including kidnapping, attempted murder, and sexual assault. He has pleaded not guilty.
