A leaked video that was allegedly recorded inside of a prison in the border state of Nuevo Leon showed how a crew of cartel members dressed their rivals in lingerie and mocked them as they were forced to clean the jail cells.

The footage shows a group of cartel members on their hands and knees sporting bras and other lingerie while other men kick them and yell various insults. The lingerie-wearing inmates were forced to scrub one of the common areas inside of the Apodaca state prison, Proceso reported.

Some of the remarks shouted by their fellow inmates suggests that the humiliated men were members of the Cartel Del Noreste (CDN) faction of the Zetas cartel. The CDN has been engulfed in a turf war with a rival Zetas faction called “Vieja Escuela Z” or “Old School Z.”

It remains unclear if the inmates humiliating the CDN are rivals or members of the same group who have switched sides.

One of the men cleaning on the floor has been identified as Daniel Gustavo “El Muletas” Valencia Treviño. As regional head of the CDN, he was nicknamed Muletas or “Crutches” because he lost his leg. Valencia Treviño was apprehended in February by Mexican officials.

It is not clear when the video was recorded. However, authorities in Nuevo Leon indicated that as soon as the footage surfaced, they carried out a string of raids at prisons in Apodaca and Topo Chico where they confiscated a cell phone, multiple shanks, and some small amounts of marijuana.
