Man accused in killing of EMT worker Yadira Arroyo is a Bloods gang member with 31 prior arrests

The man responsible for running over and killing FDNY EMT Yadira Arroyo after he stole her ambulance in the Bronx, New York is a Bloods gang member with a lengthy arrest record and a history of mental illness.

NYPD officials say Bloods gang member Jose Gonzalez,  25, who is also known as “Breezy Blood,” has 31 previous arrests along with six other contacts with officers related to injury or mental illness, the New York Daily News reported.

Gonzalez resides in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx is charged with three counts of murder, grand larceny and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in connection with the death of Yadira Arroyo.

His ten most recent arrests:

– February 25th, 2017. Criminal mischief

– June 9th, 2016. Assault

– January 9th, 2016. Criminal sale of marijuana

– May 23rd, 2015. Criminal sale of marijuana [sealed arrest]

– July 31st, 2014. Misdemeanor drug possession [sealed arrest]

His non-criminal contacts with authorities:

– On June 27th, 2015, police were called because he was behaving violently and erratically.

– On January 1st, 2014, police were called because he did not take his medication.

– On December 14th, 2010, 911 was contacted for unspecified reasons.

– On November 15th, 2008 and May 28, 2004, authorities responded after he was wounded in an assault.

– On November 20th, 2000, when he was 9-years-old, he sustained a laceration to his face and cops were dispatched to assist him.
