A Florida mother and her 8-year-old son were killed after a domestic altercation with the woman’s boyfriend hours after police told her to stop calling 911.

Latina Verneta Herring, 35, had contacted Sanford police on two occasions last Monday to report her boyfriend Allen Dion Cashe but was told by cops to stop calling 911 and making false allegations.

Three hours after the calls were made, the man kicked in Herring’s door and opened fire using an AK-47. The shots killed her, her young son, and wounded four others.

Police body cam footage shows officers first responding to a domestic incident at a gas station involving the couple.

NBC News reported that the pair was arguing over who had the keys to her residence and vehicle. The couple ultimately headed to Herring’s house, where the argument continued.

After responding to a second call, officers cuffed the boyfriend and put him inside of a patrol car. He was let go shortly after because it wasn’t a criminal matter.

One cop responding to the complaint was overheard telling the woman that it’s the second time she made “false accusations.”

“Just stop calling 911 and making accusations that you don’t know,” a second officer stated.

Another officer reportedly said that it could have been Cashe who made the second 911 call because he was scared that he was going to hurt the woman.

“I think he’s calling because he’s afraid he’s going to do something,” the cop was heard saying.

Hours after both calls, Cashe fatally shot Herring and her son.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her son later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

Herring’s father and her 7-year-old child were also injured and are listed in stable condition, the Miami Herald reported.

After the incident, Cashe escaped and shot two witnesses.

He is now in custody Seminole County Jail without bail.

An arrest report indicates that Cashe admitting to the shooting telling authorities that he was upset Herring took his car keys. It also reports that he “accidentally” shot both children while they were sleeping.
