An Ohio man spent Easter weekend in jail after authorities had indicated they found a mobile meth lab underneath a child’s car seat occupied by a toddler inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.

Charles Huff, 34, was booked into the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail on Friday on charges of illegal drug production, illegal possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs, and felony child endangerment.

The 2-year-old toddler, who was in the car seat hiding the makeshift mobile meth lab, was taken by Perry County Children’s Services and was brought to Fairfield Medical Center as a precaution because of exposure to toxic chemicals before he was released into the custody of family members.

According to a news release issued by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, the incident transpired just before 9:45 pm on Friday when sheriff’s Sergeant David Briggs pulled over Huff for a minor equipment infraction, the Daily Mail reported.

While the cop was investigating, his K-9 partner, Argo, reportedly alerted the officer to the presence of narcotics in the motorist’s Chevrolet Malibu.

When the sergeant looked through the car, he found a trio of active one-pot meth labs, one of which was positioned right under the car seat.

The meth lab was discovered by Perry County sheriff’s K-9 deputy Argo

A one-pot meth lab is a means of manufacturing meth in which the hazardous chemicals used in the production of the illegal narcotic are combined inside of a plastic bottle.

The revelation led to the evacuation of the nearby Sideliners Bar and Grill as a precaution because of the active state of the improvised meth labs in the vehicle.

Records show that Huff has a prior arrest for theft in December 2016
