Courtroom security cameras were recording as 39-year-old Lemar Reed, of Ohio, went to court to enter a plea on a traffic violation when he unknowingly dropped a bag of cocaine on the floor.

Roughly an hour later, a courtroom security officer noticed the bag of drugs lying on the ground, according to Fox News.

“He picked it up and saw a white powdery substance. We had it field tested by the Lorain Police Department, and it tested positive for cocaine,” Judge Mark Mihok revealed.

Judge Mihok said that his staff examined the security footage until they witnessed Lemar Reed dropping the drugs out of a baseball cap.

Court officials said an arrest warrant was then immediately issued and Reed was taken into custody on felony cocaine possession.

“He was here for a traffic ticket. He made a simple traffic ticket with the penalty of a fine into a felony. Not a good day for him,” Judge Mihok said.
