Police officers in Arkansas discovered the remains of a missing nine-year-old in the woods after his mother, sister and great-uncle were found dead.

The body of missing nine-year-old Reilly Scarbrough was recovered in a heavily wooded area located west of Hatfield, Arkansas, just before noon on Saturday, the Daily Mail reported.

His mother Bethany Jo Wester’s live-in boyfriend, 37-year-old Brian Bliss Travis, helped track down the body and will likely face capital murder charges for the child’s killing.

Travis was taken into custody on Wednesday for unrelated drug charges and remains behind bars, the Arkansas Times reported.

Reilly’s two-year-old sister Acelynn Wester was discovered in a wooded area near the town of Cove on Friday.

She was found near where her mother’s body was found Tuesday in a creek.

Authorities were dispatched to the area after receiving calls of a “suspicious” object.

Police say the body of Bethany Jo Wester (left with Acelynn) was found first in the woods.

The boy’s great-uncle was found dead Thursday at his home.

It is still unclear if Travis will be charged for the other three slayings.

The sheriff did not reveal say how the three victims were killed or name any suspects or motives in the killings.

Police didn’t indicate where the children’s other family members, including their father, might be.

Authorities first found the remains of the children’s mother.

On Friday, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reported that the children were “in immediate danger” because they hadn’t been seen in six days.
