Chicago  Police officials released an all-points bulletin on Monday warning its officers about gangs armed with high-powered firearms after three victims were fatally shot over the weekend — including two who were attending a memorial for the first victim.

Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi revealed that the three people who were murdered in the shootings were all members of the same gang.

A shooting earlier in the day left one man dead. Later brother and sister Michael and Adriana Williams were fatally gunned down and eight were wounded in a spray of over two dozen shots from two firearms while attending a makeshift memorial.

Police allege that they were all shot by members of a rival gang in the Chicago’s southwest side, ABC7 reported.

Later,  brother and sister Michael and Adriana Williams were fatally gunned down and eight were wounded after gunmen sprayed gunfire, firing over two dozen shots from two automatic weapons while attending a makeshift memorial.

Chicago Police allege that they were all shot by members of a rival gang in the Chicago’s southwest side.

The department increased patrols after the morning shooting of Daniel Cordova, 26, who was discovered dead between parked cars in the Brighton Park area. The other incident occurred approximately 12 hours later, roughly a block away.

Chicago Police officials said given the likelihood that the gang war has not ended, the department has immersed the same area with police and tactical teams. Authorities also published a warning about gunmen with weapons powerful enough to penetrate bullet-proof vests.

“Given the type of shootings and the incident last week (in which two offers suffered gunshot wounds) we have put out an officer safety bulletin,” Guglielmi said.

The spokesperson indicated that the incident, in which two cops were shot, does not appear to be linked to the bloody gang dispute that exploded Sunday. Together, however, they are the latest instances of what they have seen as a greater willingness to arm themselves with firearms most associated with soldiers in battle.

At the scene of the second shooting, Guglielmi said that over two dozen shell casings were found, with police assuming that two individuals were firing the shots.

“We believe it was related to the memorial, the people there knew the victim, and the rival group observed that and took advantage,” he added.

He also said that the earlier victim and the man and woman murdered later that day were all among roughly 1,400 people who, because of circumstances such as criminal records or gang ties, were on a list of those most likely to commit gun violence or be targeted by it. He said the identities of two others who were wounded in the second shooting are also on the list.

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made in either incident.
