A uniformed mailman went completely postal after he kicked in the door of a medical marijuana dispensary in the East Village section of Manhattan on Saturday before hitting two New York City Police officers who attempted to arrest him.

Daniel Jean, 30, got into an altercation with a 53-year-old security guard at the Columbia Care Medical Marijuana Dispensary on East 14th Street at roughly 2:30 p.m. because she would not allow him to bring mail inside the dispensary. The security guard offered to take the mail, but Jean refused to give it to her.

The man left but returned a short time later and handed the mail to a third-party.

According to the New York Daily News, the out-of-control mailman then left again and returned — at which time he began kicking in the door, breaking its frame and lock.

The guard dialed 911–but then noticed a police car and got their attentions.

When police attempted to arrest him, Jean hit two of them, injuring their knees, hands, and back.

“I am not resisting. I am standing still,” Jean is heard on a video recording before a group of cops took him to the ground and handcuffed him.

The mailman was charged with criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, and assault.
