As drug-related violence proceeds to intimidate the border city of Reynosa, in the state of Tamaulipas, leaked footage appears to show groups of Gulf cartel gunmen hosting a prayer meeting before going to commit brutal acts of violence.

Nine days of ongoing violence has resulted in 25 killings, including at least one police officer and one bystander.

The footage shows at least two dozen gunmen sporting street clothes with makeshift vests and ammo pouches while holding multiple assault rifles, Proceso first reported.

The cartel members line up in front of a leader within the cartel and begin to loudly recite a prayer.

The short recording concluded with the gunmen roaring praises for the Gulf Cartel.

The video seems to have been recorded at night or during the early morning hours in Reynosa by one of the Gulf Cartel members at the meeting.

The violent uprising entered its ninth day in the border city

Although the date of the video is not specified, for over one week, Reynosa has been considered ground zero for a violent territorial war between rival factions.

The furious violence has expanded terror across the city as convoys of gunmen roam the streets searching for rivals.

Tamaulipas state officials verified to Breitbart Texas that there had been at least 25 casualties, which include one officer and one food vendor who was caught in the shootout.
