Shocking new information has surfaced about the purported MS-13 gang murder of a 15-year-old girl amid a love triangle and intra-gang dispute in Virginia.

Damaris Alexandra Reyes Rivas’ was ordered to stand in freezing water before she was stabbed 13 times by a teen love rival.

Damaris and her murderer, Venus Romero Iraheta, were both lovers of an aspiring gang leader, Christian Sosa Rivas, 21, who was killed days earlier, NBC4 Wahington reported.

Iraheta thought Damaris was to blame for Christian’s killing, and kidnapped the teen and said “see you in hell” as she continuously stabbed her.

On Thursday, prosecutors announced that they believed 17-year-old Venus Romero Iraheta was the main attacker who carried out the murder before they revealed some of the horrible abuse Rivas had endured before she died.

FBI Special Agent Fernando Uribe told the court the murder resulted from a love triangle involving the two teen girls and Christian Sosa Rivas – who was discovered dead on January 12th.

Prosecutors announced Thursday they believe 17-year-old Venus Romero Iraheta (right) was the chief attacker who carried out the brutal murder of Damaris Alexandra Reyes Rivas (left)

Uribe testified that on January 8th, another MS-13 member arranged to pick her up, with the 15-year-old thinking they were going to smoke weed.

However, she was instead taken by 18-year-old Jose Castillo Rivas, who is also charged in the killing, to an abandoned area near Springfield’s Lake Accotink Park, where she was interrogated by Iraheta about her relationship with Christian Rivas.

The lake is located roughly two miles from the industrial park where Damaris’ remains were discovered.

The victim was forced to take her off shirt and shoes, and then stand in icy water so she would “feel as much pain as Christian.”

According to Uribe, Damaris admitted to having a sexual relationship with the missing 21-year-old, before telling her kidnappers to call another MS-13 associated to get information about where Christian’s whereabouts.

Enraged, Iraheta allegedly knocked the 15-year-old to the ground and stabbed her.

Another source close to the case noted that Iraheta sliced off a diamond tattoo off the victim, which the teen had reportedly gotten to symbolize her relationship with Christian Rivas.

Authorities have previously indicated they believe the gang members recorded Damaris’ final moments.

A total of ten suspects have been charged with the death, including five individuals with murder.

In court, the victim’s mother was wiping away tears.

Angelica Maria Blanco, right, and Kerri Sujey Portillo Gonzalez left, were charged as co-conspirators in the killing of Christian Sosa Rivas – who was in a relationship with both Damaris Alexandra Reyes Rivas and Venus Romero Iraheta

Maria Reyes previously told the Washington Post she had moved with her daughter to the U.S. to escape violence.

“I didn’t know people like that existed in the United States,” she told the newspaper in March, referring to MS-13. “I thought it was super safe to have my daughter here with me.”

Officials believe the murder of Christian Rivas was the result of a power rivalry, as the 21-year-old had allegedly claimed to be the head of a local chapter.

His body washed ashore on the Potomac River. Angelica Maria Blanco, 19, and Keyri Sujey Portillo Gonzalez, 18, were charged as co-conspirators in his murder.

Four more people have also been charged.

The ultra-violent MS-13 gang has been associated with a number of killings in recent months, with 18 arrested in the Washington area alone.

The gang has also been tied to the death of two teens in Long Island, New York and the killing of one teen and kidnapping of another in Houston, Texas.
