Two violent inmates with tattoos over their left eyebrows who managed to break out of a prison in Washington state have been apprehended.

Richard Dale Harvell, 30, and 26-year-old Sage Cree Bear fled from Ceder Creek Corrections Center near Littlerock on Saturday.

The pair, who both came to the facility within the past month, were missing after a 10 pm count, roughly 20 minutes after they escaped.

Harvell was serving three and a half years for possession of a firearm and Bear was serving ten years for manslaughter.

Harvell, who started his sentence in March, was expected to be released in 2019.

Bear, who has been behind bars since 2009, was scheduled to be released in 2018.

Officials believe the men broke out of the facility by climbing over the penitentiary’s 10-foot fence that is covered with razor wire.

Fox13 reported that approximately ten people were searching on Sunday for the escapees, who they believed remained on foot.

Corrections spokesperson Pam Moore said the team focused the search on a forested area around the penitentiary, which is five miles from the next county road and seven miles from Littlerock.

Moore stated that the two men were captured not far from the detention center.

Before the two fugitive inmates were apprehended, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol had been informed, and corrections staff warning hikers in the area.

Neither of the prisoners had been off facility grounds before, and officials do not believe the two have a previous connection to each other, Moore added.

Officials have not released any additional information on either the prisoners’ escape or capture. Investigators are working to determine out how and when the pair plotted to escape.
