Drug trafficking network busted by feds in Washington, Idaho

Federal agents, with the assistance of local police departments, carried out raids spanning two states, apprehending 18 suspects accused of being implicated in a drug trafficking network.

According to the KREM, the suspects are from Washington and Idaho, and police raided 15 homes in the bust.

Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich indicated that investigators seized over 20 weapons, $700,000 in cash made from illicit drug sales, along with large quantities of cocaine, heroin, and meth.

Drug trafficking network arrests

18 people were arrested in a joint effort by Federal, state, and local authorities during multi-state raids

Law enforcement officials said all 18 co-conspirators involved in the ring will face multiple drug trafficking charges in federal court.

Authorioties said  they are still on the hunt for four more suspects believed to be involved in the drug enterprise, who ares considered fugitives from justice.

“If they’re going to traffic drugs in Spokane, we’re going to catch you, we’re going to prosecute you,” Knezovich, declared at a press conference.

Spokane County Captain Task Force Commander John Nowels noted that the investigation into the drug trafficking network was launched over two years ago.

“All those organizations work on a daily basis on the task force to help keep gang activity and drug activity at bay,” said Knowles.
