Married Kentucky school teacher Lindsey Jarvis who is accused of sodomizing a middle schooler and raping him during a sexual relationship that lasted for months appeared in court on Monday.

The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to rape at Kentucky’s Fayette County Courthouse, where she was holding hands with her husband of three years.

She was also hit with rape, sodomy and unlawful transaction with a minor in Woodford County, where she was charged with sexually assaulting the child last year, WDRB reported.

Authorities discovered evidence on the victim’s cellphone suggesting the two were in a “romantic relationship,” and Jarvis was taken into custody on Friday.

Lindsey Jarvis allegedly sodomized the victim, who is under 16-years-old in May 2016, while she worked as a social studies teacher at Woodford County Middle School.

The two then had sex in June, and she quit her job that same month, according to the indictment from Woodford County.

Jarvis is accused of continuing the relationship with the student even after she got started working as a para-educator at Veterans Park Elementary last August.

She was arrested on Friday and quit her job the same day.

Lisa Deffendall, a spokeswoman for Fayette County Schools, verified Jarvis is no longer a teacher at the elementary school and said they have been informed of the situation.
