A man in Milwaukee is accused of tying up a woman in the basement of a home and forcing her to have sex with various men.

There was a sinister secret occurring in the basement of a residence on the north side of the city.

“I didn’t have an (expletive) thing to do with this. He snuck in and did it,” the homeowner asserted.

The 69-year-old woman who owns the three-family residence said she was not aware of what was occurring during fall 2016. Authorities say 24-year-old Benjamin Hooks had a 19-year-old woman bound in the basement and forced her to have sex.

A criminal complaint revealed that the 19-year-old victim came to live at the home to take care of for the 69-year-old homeowner. The victim told investigators “people started showing up and taking over,” which included Hooks, Fox4 KC reported.

Authorities said Hooks kept the woman locked up — occasionally makes her wear a dog collar and sit in a dog cage. Investigators also stated that the man blindfolded her while forcing to have sex with multiple men as she was tied down. The victim said she “would get one to two meals a day,” which she had to share with a dog that was locked in the room.

The victim said she managed to flee when Hooks left the residence to attend a court appearance. Documents indicate that Hooks is facing charges in a separate human trafficking case. The victims are a 20-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl.

Another man leaving the Milwaukee residence on Tuesday referred to Hooks as a “good guy,” and asserted that he didn’t know anything about the allegations against him.

Hooks has three open cases that have been filed between January and May 2017.

In a case filed in January, Hooks is facing one count of substantial battery, intended bodily harm, habitual criminality repeater.

In May, he was charged with first-degree sexual assault, using a dangerous weapon, habitual criminality repeater, false imprisonment, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Also in May, he was charged with human trafficking, trafficking a child, child abuse, intentional harm and second-degree child sexual assault.
