On Monday night, a woman reportedly held captive by singer R. Kelly spoke out for the first time and maintained she is not being held “hostage” or part of a sex cult

The parents of 21-year-old Jocelyn Savage claimed Kelly manipulated their daughter against her will as part of an abusive sex cult led by the legendary R&B singer.

However, Savage came forward on Monday for the first time and denied the claims made by her parents, telling TMZ that she is not “brainwashed.”

“I just mainly want to say that I am in a happy place, I’m not being brainwashed or anything like that,” ” Savage said in a video.

The woman said despite her parents’ claims she was not being held against her will.

Allegations surfaced on Monday in a lengthy report published by Buzzfeed, in which R. Kelly is accused of holding several young women in “harems.”

The FBI questioned the parents of two women ages 18 and 20, from Georgia and Chicago, who told BuzzFeed it has been a year since they’ve seen their daughters and other former members of R. Kelly’s entourage.

According to the online publication, Kelly reportedly kept a group of  6 or 7 young women at his homes in Chicago and Atlanta, where he “controls all aspects of their lives.”

The 50-year-old singer allegedly lures unsuspecting, aspiring singers into his circle by promising to further their careers.

However, the women are instead manipulated into participating in a sexual relationship, in which Kelly shares with a group of friends, and requires them to seek his permission to leave their designated rooms.

Kelly allegedly tells the women what to eat, what to drink, and how to pleasure him.

Sources also told BuzzFeed Kelly calls the women his “babies” and they must refer to him as “daddy.”

The parents of Jocelyn Savage maintained their daughter was held against her will at a press conference on Monday afternoon.

“My daughter is completely brainwashed, she says anything he asks her to say, she’s not the same Jocelyn that we knew,” Jonjelyn Savage stated.

Savage said she had received information about the guest house where the women are kept from Kelly’s former assistant.

“You have to ask for food. You have to ask to go use the bathroom,” says Cherry Mack, R.Kelly’s former personal assistant.

“He’s a master at mind control,  a puppet master,” she added.

Mack and other members of his inner circle say R.Kelly verbally and physically abuses the women who fail to abide by his strict rules.

Moreover, Kelly closely monitors any communication between the women and the outside world, despite family members’ repeated attempts to intercede.

The BuzzFeed report also reported that R.Kelly requires each woman to carry a cell phone only used to communicate with him.

Police performed a “well-being” check on behalf of the family of a  singer from Georgia, in which the woman told cops she was “fine and did not want to be bothered.”

The performer has faced past allegations of improper sexual misconduct with minors, including a 2008 incident after a video surfaced of Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

The footage resulted in Kelly having to stand trial on 14-counts of child porn charges.

R. Kelly was eventually acquitted in that case.

Dozens have women have also accused R.Kelly of ruining their lives.

In response to Buzzfeed’s report, Kelly’s attorney, Linda Mensch defended her client, whom she described as “a great artist and a person who takes care of all the people in his life.”

“Like all of us, Mr. Kelly deserves a personal life,” Mensch added.
