Police in Florida says a 10-year-old Daytona boy, described as “flashy,” cut off his ankle monitor the day after being charged stealing two cars–his fourth arrest auto theft in six weeks.

The parents of 10-year-old Damrion Moore has asked authorities for help controlling their son.

Daytona Beach police Sgt. Tim Ehrenkaufer tells The Daytona Beach News-Journal, investigators noticed a brashness in the boy that’s not common for children that young.

“He has a look-at-me attitude,” Ehrenkaufer told the Journal.

“I was hurt because, in this neighborhood, you get a lot of crime, and I didn’t know my kids (were) doing most of the crime,” the boy’s father Darran Moore told WFTV. “There’s no explanation. Really, I put it on myself.”

The boy is so small in stature that when police officers recovered the stolen vehicle “the driver’s seat was pushed up to the steering wheel,” Capt. Jennifer Krosschell told the newspaper.

Daytona Police chief Craig Capri said Moore only started getting in trouble in the past couple of months.

The little devil was first busted for auto theft in June after police say he stole a car.

According to Capri, Moore’s mother said the boy began hanging with the wrong crowd, and his behavior started to spiral out of control in recent months.

Capri said the boy would remain in the custody of a juvenile detention center for 30 days and maintained his department would help him get on the right track after his release.
