Feds dismantle NYC heroin ring linked to Mexican cartels

A heroin ring in NYC has been busted after the feds raided the drug dealer consortium after its leading members couldn’t resist spending their illicit funds on a luxurious lifestyle.

One of the dealers displayed a $3,000 Versace baby carriage for one of their children along with a kid’s pair of Gucci sneakers, among troves of jewelry and a fleet of luxury cars on social media.

Luis Lopez, Victor Agosto, Perfecto Deleon, Andres Reyes, Nestor Rivera and Peter Vasquez were taken into custody for participating in a multimillion dollar drug ring connected to Mexican cartels, which smuggled drugs into the states through California.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better ride for Prince Peter,” Lopez’s wife wrote on a post of the $3,000 carriage on Instagram.

In another picture, she showed an 8-year-old’s feet with Gucci sneakers.

At the time of the bust, $900,000 worth of heroin, a Rolls Royce Ghost, a Lamborghini Hurácan, an Audi R8, a Mercedes CLS63 AMG, Porsche Cayenne, Maserati, and a Range Rover Sport were seized.

In a statement, NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill said, “the heroin epidemic is real.. These defendants not only moved heroin across the country – they carried firearms to protect their turf and extravagant lifestyle.”

Police say one of the defendants relied on a crew of violent gang members from the Young Gunnerz to protect the enterprise, NBC News reported.

If found guilty, the men face anywhere from 10 to 15 in prison on trafficking and weapons offenses.
