Nashville Police seize 72 pounds of pot, Oxycodone, Xanax during drug investigation

Three search warrants in Nashville, Tennessee were carried out on Wednesday as part of a drug investigation that was launched last month resulted in a massive seizure of prescription pain pills and marijuana.

Nashville Metro Police revealed officer seized 72 pounds of pot, 39 Xanax pills, and 89 pills of Oxycodone, along with two pistols and close to $10,000 in cash during the raid, WKRN reported.

According to a press release, police investigators received an anonymous complaint and discovered that 42-year-old Arthur Williams was selling half-pound quantities of marijuana.

During the drug investigation, Metro police revealed that two additional addresses were associated with Williams.

Police said that most of the drugs and cash were seized from an address in Inglewood Circle South, although there were 11 pounds of marijuana recovered from E. Webster Street.

Williams is behind bars on multiple drug-related charges, along with his girlfriend, 45-year-old Gita Jackson.
