Stepmom, daughter arrested in road rage altercation.

A stepmother and daughter beat a woman in Florida in a road rage altercation recorded on video that the victim referred to as “the longest red light of my life.”

Shelley Lyn Gemberling and Alicia Nicole Scarduzio reached into Emily Bailey’s car and pulled her out before repeatedly hitting her.

Bailey lost consciousness after being struck multiple times in the face and body.

“When I looked into the woman’s eyes, I saw rage. It looked like she wanted to kill me,” Bailey said to WFLA. “During those times, the daughter said, stop hitting my mom. Then she hit me again. Everything went black.”

Bailey noted that Gemberling and Scarduzio had cut her off on the New Port Richey road and were “in the wrong.”

Witnesses managed to stop the attack, and a witness filmed the disturbing dispute. The footage showed Bailey lying on the ground, defenseless, as she was assaulted.

“The mom grabbed me by my throat and was squeezing my neck,” Bailey added. “The daughter grabbed me by the back of my hair and started pulling.”

The victim, Emily Bailey, opened up in an interview with News Channel 8 about the terrifying incident.

Gamberling, 49, and Scarduzio, 20, have been charged with burglary and aggravated battery.

Scarduzio refused to admit that she punched Bailey in the face, but did reveal she used an open hand to strike her. Gamberling claimed that Bailey got out her vehicle and pushed her.

“It’s hard to watch,” Bailey told the station, referring to the footage. “It’s traumatizing. I think I cried the first four times I’ve seen it. I question every time getting in the car now. I don’t want to beat my horn at anyone.”
