A jury has been selected in the trial of a felon charged with burning 19-year-old Jessica Chambers to death nearly three years ago in Mississippi.

According to WJTV-TV, a 12-person jury was selected Monday in the trial of 29-year-old Quinton Tellis, who has pleaded not guilty to murder in the death of Chambers.

Tellis’ trial begins Tuesday.

Jessica Chambers was on fire when she was discovered next to her burning car along a back road in Courtland, Mississippi, on Dec. 6, 2014.

Chambers was taken to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where she later died.

The trial jury was selected in Pike County in southwest Mississippi because of pre-trial publicity in Panola County. The jury is being transported 200 miles north to Batesville, where it will be sequestered throughout the trial there.
