Agents working in a DEA strike force intercepted a tractor-trailer packed with 21 kilos of heroin laced with fentanyl as it traveled through The Bronx, New York.

The truck, with license plates registered in Maine, was being driven by 33-year-old Luciano Osobampo-Armenta on October 8th just before 9:00 p.m. on Bruckner Boulevard, the New York Post reported.

DEA Strike Force investigators pulled over the trailer as part of a probe and discovered 6 kilos of drugs in the cab of the truck and 15 kilos stored in the trailer.

The drug was concealed in vacuum-sealed plastic-wrapped packages.

The criminal complaint noted that the driver was the only occupant of the truck.

Osobampo-Armenta has since been charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
