Plenty of questions remain unanswered after the bizarre death of former Shark Tank contestant Philip Reitnour, whose remains were discovered Last week, in Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River under strange circumstances.

Authorities said the remains of the 58-year-old entrepreneur was recovered in the river after he had been reported missing.

The body was found with a single gunshot wound to the head, ABC30 reported.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

However, the details as to how Philip Reitnour died are still under being questioned, meaning that authorities are still working to ascertain if this was a suicide or if foul play was involved.

Philip was reportedly going through some legal problems before his death. Not only was he over $3 million in debt but he was also being sued for reasons that are not known.

During his stint on the hit ABC show, Reitnour told investors that he had poured a ton of money into his app, EmergenSee. None of the sharks gave him a deal after they were weary upon discovering that Philip had put so much of his own cash into the business.

When the Philadelphia Business Journal interviewed Reitnour after his appearance, he said that he didn’t specifically appear on Shark Tank to get a deal with investors. Instead, he noted that he wanted to be a part of the show to get exposure for his app. Philip also said that the exposure from the show did work and his app got a ton of downloads the next day.

Reitnour was a father of four. He lost his wife Kathleen to breast cancer in 2015 but was engaged at the time of his death.
