Over $600,000 worth of meth was confiscated at a port of entry in El Paso over the weekend.

It took place just after 8:30 a.m. on Friday at the Paso Del Norte International crossing. Customs and Border Protection agents revealed that a 24-year-old woman traveling in a Jeep Liberty tried to cross into El Paso from Juarez when she appeared nervous during the initial inspection.

She was chosen to undergo a secondary inspection where a drug-sniffing K9 signaled officers to the roof of the car, KFOX.

Officers found several bundles of drugs in the concealed roof compartment.

The woman, who officials say is a citizen of Mexico citizen, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents on smuggling charges.

The meth seized in the vehicle weighed 28.4 pounds, with an estimated street value of $681,600.
