Federal, state, and local authorities arrested over two dozen suspects during a drug sweep in north-central Ohio.

More than 250 law enforcement agents arrested 39 suspects during pre-dawn raids on Wednesday and executed 15 federal search warrants where authorities say drugs were stored or distributed in the city of Mansfield.

Officials said as of mid-day, authorities arrested 26 people out of 39 individuals named in an indictment on drug-related charges.

Eighteen individuals were charged in one case with conspiracy to distribute heroin, while 21 face multiple counts including conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana, the NBC4 reported,

The drug sweep was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, and Mansfield police department.

“I heard a thump – like a grenade launcher and then this flash bang…like this dynamite explosion,” according to David Yates, who said he was awakened after federal agents arrested his next door neighbor.
