On Wednesday, the U.S. Coast Guard offloaded 6,570 pounds of cocaine in San Diego that was confiscated through multiple interdictions off the Pacific Coast between mid-September and early October.

Footage shows huge bundles of cocaine being unloaded off a Coast Guard ship.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the work and dedication displayed by my crew, the crews of cutters Alert and James, and the aircrews and support networks,” Chris German, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Active’s commanding officer, stated in a press bulletin.

“Their teamwork was key to combating transnational crime in drug trafficking zones over the past several months. Knowing that we stopped drugs from reaching our streets, and the streets of allied nations in Central and South America makes the deployments away worth every moment.”
