On Thursday, a routine traffic stop by Troup County deputies along I-85 resulted in a drug bust worth over $1 million drug bust.

A tractor-trailer with 151 pounds of marijuana concealed inside was pulled after the driver neglected to stop at a weigh station, Troup sheriff’s spokesman Sergeant Stewart Smith indicated to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The driver, Amaury Izquierdo Mansito, and the vehicle’s Marco Alfaro are facing charges to drug trafficking charges, according to Smith.

Because deputies believe the drugs have an estimated street value of $1.6 million, officials with Customs, Border Protection, and Homeland Security were contacted.
