Teen arrested for robbing same bank in two days in Long Island, New York

Authorities arrested a teenager in Suffolk County, New York for robbing the same bank twice in two days.

Suffolk County Police officials said officers arrested 18-year-old Shakeem Smith on bank robbery charges on Wednesday after holding up the HSBC bank on Montauk Highway in Mastic.

Police said the suspect robbed the same bank the day before by handing a note to the teller demanding cash.

According to NBC New York, Smith, who is from Mastic Beach, Long Island is to be arraigned on robbery charges at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.

It wasn’t clear if Smith had a lawyer who could provide comment.
