A grand jury handed down an indictment on conspiracy charges in connection with a murder-for-hire plot.

Lorain County Prosecutor Dennis Will said 39-year-old Grafton resident Seljami Idrizi, was indicted Thursday in Lorain County, Ohio on two counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder.

According to the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, North Ridgeville police arrested Idrizi in September after he paid a hired killer a final $5,000 payment to murder a 43-year-old m intended victim.

The purported hit man immediately contacted authorities after Idrizi repeatedly approached him to carry out the killing and cooperated with the investigation.

The informant met with Idrizi on several occasions that were monitored by police.

During one of the meetings, Idrizi reportedly told the hit man he wanted to see a picture of the dead man.

With the help of a makeup artist, investigators staged a murder scene and snapped a photo of the intended victim with a fake bullet wound to the head to prove the contract hit had been carried out.

Law enforcement officials haven’t revealed why Idrizi wanted the man dead or what the relationship was between the two men.

Idrizi remains behind bars on a $1 million bond. His attorney declined to comment on Friday.
