Raid on Laredo stash house leads to arrest, cocaine seizure

A tip about a stash house in Laredo, Texas resulted in an arrest and seizure of cocaine.

The Narcotic’s Unit with the Webb County Sheriff’s Office said it recently received information concerning a possible stash house at an unidentified location.

After investigating the house, it was discovered that Manuel Pedroza, 48, possessed 17.5 grams of cocaine, The Houston Chronicle reported.

Authorities indicated that they learned that Pedroza had recently been released from the Webb County Jail after being charged with possession of controlled substance.

Pedroza was in custody at the Webb County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Sheriff Martin Cuellar said he would continue to provide strong drug enforcement.

“I congratulate our narcotics division,” Cuellar said. “The cocaine was wrapped for street-level distribution and was valued at $1,000.”
