Police confirm 2 bodies found in Macon Co., AL are missing Atlanta-based rappers

Authorities discover the body of missing rapper Bambino Gold.

The Macon County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama announced that the two bodies discovered in a wooded area are the Atlanta-based rapper known as Bambino Gold and his cousin who were reported missing two weeks ago.

Sheriff Brunson revealed that the two remains recovered are those of the 29-year-old rapper whose real name is Edward Reeves and his cousin/concert promoter, 30-year-old Kendrick Stokes, who goes by the moniker “Skooly Kee Da Tooly.”

According to WSB-TV, authorities recovered the first body late Friday afternoon.

Macon County Coroner, Hal Bentley, said that a person walking by a wooded area saw the body just before 5 pm on Friday in Hardaway, Alabama.

Edward Reeves, also known as Bambino Gold, and Kendrick Stokes, also known as Skooly Kee Da Tooly, were formally reported missing in Montgomery on Tuesday, Nov. 7. They were last seen in Montgomery on Sunday, Nov. 5. (Special to AL.com)()

The unnamed male was pronounced dead at 5:30 p.m.

Bentley added that he didn’t know how long the remains were there but noted that the body had started to decay.

Both men were visiting their hometown of Montgomery, Alabama.

Witnesses last saw Reeves and Stokes in a 2016 white Honda CRV.

The two men left Montgomery around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 4th and were returning to Atlanta when they went missing.

Authorities haven’t indicated whether the vehicle had been recovered.

Officials said the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation have launched a joint investigation into the murders.
