Mexican cartel shooting victim crosses border to receive medical treatment at Texas hospital

The conflict between factions of the Gulf Cartel and firefights with authorities continue to increasr the number of homicide victims in Reynosa, Mexico.

Earlier this week, two bystanders were caught in the crossfire of a shootout with one rushed by ambulance to Texas to receive medical care.

The incident occurred when Gulf Cartel gunmen attacked a group of state police officers in the Arecas neighborhood.

Breitbart Texas reported that the officers came under attack from gunmen in a Ford pickup.

The attack occurred after state police officers were attacked by Gulf Cartel gunmen in the Arecas neighborhood

The officers returned fire and a rolling shootout ensued.

The conflict occurred near a local flea market where a stray bullet struck a cab driver.

After spending one day in intensive care, the victim passed away from his injuries.

The shootout concluded when the driver of the pickup lost control of the vehicle outside a hotel.

The rolling shootout ended after the driver of the pickup lost control outside of a hotel.

Three gunmen were killed in the shootout with police. At some point, another innocent bystander was injured.

The victim’s family members reportedly rushed him by ambulance to the international bridge where they were brought to another medical unit so he could receive medical attention in Texas.

It is not clear if the victim is a U.S. citizen.
