Firefighters recovered the SUV in flames near a precious metal refinery in the area.

Soon after, Gagne retracted her claim that the vehicle had been stolen.

The woman turned herself into police on Tuesday and was released on a personal recognizance bond the following day.

Authorities have not ascertained a motive.

Officials said that Gagne used an X15 Flamethrower that was produced by Ohio company XMatter to ignite the vehicle.
